Daily Itinerary:



  • Day 1: Pickup from Bokeo, Travel to Luang Namtha

    Embark on a scenic journey from Bokeo to Luang Namtha, traversing the picturesque landscapes of northern Laos. Along the way, visit traditional villages to engage with local communities and gain insights into their daily lives. In Vieng Phoukha, explore the renowned Tham Kao Rao Cave, celebrated for its impressive limestone formations sculpted over centuries. This cave is among the most beautiful underground formations in northern Laos.


  • Day 2: Explore Luang Namtha Valley

    Delve into the rich cultural tapestry of the Luang Namtha Valley by visiting local villages renowned for their traditional crafts. Participate in natural dyeing and textile weaving workshops, where artisans transform raw materials into vibrant fabrics. Learn the intricate art of bamboo basket weaving and the creation of decorative items from banana leaves. In the evening, experience a traditional Baci ceremony, accompanied by local performances, and savor authentic Lao cuisine during dinner at a traditional house in Ban Vieng Nuea.




  • Day 3: Trekking through Nam Ha NPA to Nalan Village

    Set off on a trekking adventure through the Nam Ha National Protected Area (NPA), a vast expanse covering over 224,000 hectares and established in 1993. This area is home to diverse flora and fauna, including clouded leopards and possibly a few remaining tigers. Along the trail, learn traditional cooking methods using local ingredients, culminating in a picnic lunch amidst the natural beauty of the park. Arrive at Nalan Village, where you’ll stay overnight in a Khmu homestay, immersing yourself in the customs and lifestyle of the Khmu people.

  • Day 4: Trekking Back to Luang Namtha

    Begin your return trek to Luang Namtha, passing through lush forests and diverse ecosystems within the Nam Ha NPA. Encounter the Lanten people, known for their distinctive indigo-dyed clothing and traditional crafts. Gain insights into their unique culture and harmonious relationship with the surrounding environment.




  • Day 5: Travel from Luang Namtha to Oudomxay

    Journey southward to Oudomxay, a province characterized by its rugged mountains and rich ethnic diversity, home to 23 ethnic minorities including Khmu, Hmong, and lowland Lao. Oudomxay serves as a gateway to numerous cultural and natural attractions, offering visitors a blend of traditional experiences and scenic beauty.


  • Day 6: Sightseeing in Oudomxay Town and Visit to Nam Kat Yorla Pa

    Explore the vibrant town of Oudomxay, visiting local markets and cultural sites. In the afternoon, venture to Nam Kat Yorla Pa, a unique haven located in a protected forestry area along the Nam Kat River. This eco-tourism destination offers a blend of adventure and relaxation amidst lush nature and elegant accommodations.




  • Day 7: Trip to Akha Village of Ban A No and Return to Oudomxay

    Embark on a trip to Ban A No, an Akha village situated in the remote mountainous areas of Oudomxay. The Akha, having migrated from the Tibetan Plateau several hundred years ago, are known for their rich cultural heritage and traditional attire, particularly the women’s distinctive hats adorned with coins. Engage with the community to learn about their traditions and way of life before returning to Oudomxay.


  • Day 8: Trekking Tour to Explore Chom Ong Cave

    Set out on an exploration of Chom Ong Cave, considered the longest and most beautiful cave system in Oudomxay province, with approximately 16 kilometers of tunnels running through the mountainside. Discover its impressive chambers and unique geological formations, making it a highlight for spelunking enthusiasts.



  • Day 9: Travel from Oudomxay to Luang Prabang

    Conclude your journey by traveling to Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its well-preserved architectural, religious, and cultural heritage. The town is an outstanding example of the fusion of traditional Lao architecture with European colonial influences, offering a unique and charming atmosphere. Explore its historic temples, vibrant markets, and the confluence of the Mekong and Nam Khan rivers.
