Authority, Tax, & Nam Ha NPA Fund:

  • Contribution: 5% paid directly to the Luang Namtha Information, Culture & Tourism Department, Tourism Police Department, Nam Ha NPA Fund, and Tax.
  • Amount: Approximately $5 per person.
  • Usage: The funds will be used for tourism advertising, village monitoring, provincial and local guide training, and supporting the conservation of Nam Ha NPA Fund.

Community Funds:

  • Contribution: 3% paid directly to the community village.
  • Amount: Approximately $3 per person.
  • Usage: The funds will be used for improving trekking trails, village development, and enhancing basic infrastructure in the village.

Community Profit:

  • Local food, accommodation (Eco-lodge or homestay), activities, local guides, and village services:
  • Contribution: 26% paid directly to the community village.
  • Amount:
    1. Local food: $2-$2.5 per person per meal.
    2. Accommodation (Eco-lodge or homestay): $2-$2.5 per person per night.
    3. Activities (e.g., cultural performances, traditional Baci-ceremony): $20-$25 per event.
    4. Local guide: $6-$7 per person per day.
    5. Village service: $2-$2.5 per service.

Local  Profit:

  • Transportation and English-speaking guides:
  • Contribution: 40% paid directly to local people in the town.
  • Amount:
    1. Local transportation (Tuk Tuk or Minivan): $25-$30 for round trip to and from your hotel.
    2. English-speaking guide: $15-$20 per person per day.

Company Profit, Team Incentives, and Staff Salary:

  • Contribution: 27% paid directly to the local tour agency in the town.
